How to use the JSON API Response to CSV

Enter an API address and token and get the JSON response as a clean table.

API Response to Table turns the JSON an API returns into a clean table. Enter the address, add a token if the API needs one, and get one row per record with nested fields flattened into columns such as address.city. Download CSV, Excel, JSON or Parquet, or pass the table to another tool. The request goes from your browser straight to the API, and your token is never saved.

  1. Enter the API address
  2. Add a token if the API needs one
  3. Send the request and download the table

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert an API response to CSV?

Enter the API address, add a token if it needs one, click Send request, then download CSV. If the response holds several lists, pick the one you want.

Does it work with paginated APIs?

It converts the page you request. For more pages, run each request and combine the tables with Data Transformation.

Is it safe to use a token in API Response to Table?

Your token goes only to the API you call, straight from your browser. Data Utility never receives it or the response. It is kept in memory for that request, not saved, and not written to Data Lineage. Use a token with read-only access when you can.

Why does my API request fail in the browser?

Many APIs do not allow calls from other websites (CORS). In that case the browser blocks the request. Use an API that allows browser access, or ask its owner to enable CORS.
