Chat with Your Data: CSV, Excel, JSON and Parquet (Free AI)
Ask a question about your CSV, Excel, JSON or Parquet file and get an answer, without writing a formula or a query.
Most "chat with your data" tools upload your whole file to a server. This one does not. Your file stays in your browser, and numbers such as averages, counts and totals are calculated on your device.
The AI only sees a short summary: column names, types, statistics and, if you allow it, the first five rows. When a question needs the full data, the AI writes a small query and your browser runs it.
You use your own Google Gemini API key, and you can get one free from Google AI Studio. The chat is built to give answers only. It refuses off-topic or abusive requests, and it cannot make reports or export your data.
How to use the Chat with Data: step by step
- Open Chat with Data.
- Paste your Gemini API key. The available models load automatically.
- Load your file (CSV, Excel, JSON or Parquet), or click the sample.
- Type a question, for example "What is the average price by country?"
When to use the Chat with Data
- Getting a quick number from a large file
- Finding the most common values in a column
- Checking a file before a meeting
- Answering a colleague's question about an export
Tip: Turn off "Send a few sample values" if your data is sensitive. The AI will then see only column names and statistics.
