Product Feed from Excel to CSV for Marketplaces

Most marketplace and shop importers want CSV, but product lists live in Excel. Converting by hand is where SKUs and prices go wrong.

Open the Excel to CSV converter and drop the workbook. Only the first sheet of an .xlsx file is read, and old .xls files must be saved as .xlsx first. Check that the sheet with the products is the first one.

Then look at the codes. SKUs and barcodes such as 000123 must stay text, or the zeros are lost. Prices should be plain numbers with a dot, without currency signs. Open the result in Data Transformation to trim spaces, remove duplicate SKUs and rename columns to match the importer.

Check the importer rules before you upload: required columns, the delimiter and the file encoding. Test with 10 rows first, because a failed upload on a large feed can be slow to undo.
